Direct bonding has become a well-recognized procedure in orthodontics and offers a superior alternative to the older banding techniques in many clinical situations.
The main problems encountered with many other direct bonding products involve:
1. Inconsistent working times (i.e., working times too long or short);
2. Incorrect consistency (making applications difficult or time-consuming);
3. Poor adhesion to either tooth structure or bracket;
4. Discoloration of the adhesive.
Sci-Pharm adhesives have addressed these problems, virtually eliminating bonding failures, facilitating the clinician’s work and allowing for substantial time savings. Available plastic bracket primers enable the clinician to use tooth-colored or transparent plastic brackets in situations where aesthetics are of primary concern.
The newest development in the field involves light-cured adhesives that are suitable for use with all kinds of brackets, including metal, and offer the convenience of unlimited working time. All Scientific Pharmaceuticals’ adhesives are suitable for use with the newer ceramic brackets.

Our Cure-On-Touch P/L® Orthodontic Adhesive gives the operator the convenience and security of an extended working time. The no-mix system reduces the possibility of error and virtually eliminates the inconsistencies found in the performance of older type adhesives. The application is extremely simple and fast, resulting in substantial chair-time savings. The consistency of the adhesive is such that the brackets do not slide after placement on the teeth, but will remain immobilized until the material cures. Delayed cure permits the operator to correct the position of the brackets up to 20 seconds after placement.
